With all the efforts and developments concerning virtual worlds fusing together, the conclusion came up that the term Metaverse isn’t appropriate anymore and rather the term Exaversum,  as a fusion of exa (10¹⁸) and universe might fit better. Like the universe which consists of a nearly endless amount of galaxies, stars and planets, the Exaversum will bring the same level of infinity to the virtual worlds and their use on the Internet. While the Metaverse will struggle by the fenced garden approach and incompatibility, the Exaversum will be a conglomerate of an endless amount of digital galaxies, solar systems, planets and stars, created and designed for their purpose by individual entities, all based on open standards. These places can be visited by the same avatar and using the same platform independent client software. Some might call it the 3d Internet and maybe it will be soon called the Web 3.0 by some marketing villains. We dare to call it simply the Exaversum.
